PAINTED FABRIC AND SALT

This piece is awaiting a decision on its fate.   Will it be a table runner, a wall hanging or will I chop it up and make a bag.......

I am now working on samples, to show just what else can be achieved with the techniques taught in the "Opalescence" class coming up in July.

Base fabric was white drill, sprayed with a watered down fabric paint and then sprinkled with salt to create a bit of texture.    Next the leaves where stamped in to position, and then the flowers where added using a couple of sizes of stencils I cut with the Scan and Cut.   The stencils are old xrays, which family members are now donating with glee, because it gets them out of their cupboards!

Back to the creative center!!

OPALESCENCE

Apart from the missing rod pocket, it is finished.......unless I find something else that screams "put me on that quilt".    As mentioned in my last post, I am running a workshop here in sunny Mt Evelyn on the weekend of July 10,11, and 12.    Contact me  if you are interested in joining in and throwing some paint and glue around!!

FABRIC BEADS AND GLITTER STICKS

Did I mention I like glitter?       Fabric beads and glitter sticks for a quilt I am currently working on.   The quilt is called Opalescence and I still have a few vacancies for the July class if anyone is interested.    Drop me a line here and I will send you some info.     More photos will come when all this lot is put in to place!

A few bits from the quilt.     It looks scarier than it is.   If you can zig zag, straight stitch and free motion this quilt is achievable.

Wouldn't these stones make a fantastic mosaic........stop me, stop me now!
